Are the services tax deductible?

In many cases services can be tax deductible. You should contact your tax professional just to be sure.

How do I know what type of services and how much will I need?

At the start of your service, a licensed nurse will provide you with a free in-home evaluation. At this time, they will consult with you and help you determine your home care needs. This will put you in the best position to decide what type of services and how much services will benefit you the most. They will also let you know what tasks your caregiver will perform.

Our referred caregivers can provide service for just a few hours each week or 24 hours/7 days a week as needed.

What type of caregivers does Jabez Home Care refer?

Our referred caregivers are independent contractors and not direct employees of the Nurse Registry. They are required to pass a Level II Background screening check through the Federal Department of Law Enforcement. References are checked and they are required to have ongoing continuing education. They are CPR Certified and are also required to provide proof of being free of communicable diseases.

How quickly can a client receive services from Jabez Home Care?

Our goal is to staff a new client within 24 hours, no later than 48 hours.

Can clients stop the service at any time?

Yes, but we request a 24-hour notice whenever possible. We kindly request that if the caregiver that we send do not meet your criteria, that you give another opportunity to meet your home care needs.

What is the cost for the services of Jabez Home Care Nurse Registry?

POTENTIAL PAYOR SOURCES:

Community Organizations

In some communities, local non-profit organizations, provide financial support for home health and supportive care. This is typically dependent on an individual’s eligibility and financial circumstances. Such organizations may pay for a portion or even all of the services needed. Hospital discharge planners, social workers, local offices on aging, and the United Way are all good resources for more information.

Health Insurance

Depending on what kind of insurance you have,  prior authorization may be required. There also may be co-pay and/or deductible.

Long Term Care Insurance

Not all long-term care insurance policies pay for home care, so know what’s in your policy. There may be an elimination period or depending on what kind of insurance you have, a prior authorization may be required. There also may be co-pay and/or deductible.

Medicaid Waivers

Federal or Stated funded programs such as Medicaid Waivers through Alliance for the Aging are local social service programs that enable frail and disabled older individuals to remain independent in their communities. This funding covers home health care, attendant care, respite care, personal care, chore, escort, meal delivery, and shopping services for individuals with significant need who are 60 years of age and older or have a chronic disability. The Area Agencies on Aging can provide information on such funding opportunities.

Private Pay

If the care is non-medical care in nature, then it is likely that you will need to pay out of pocket, which means you are personally responsible for all costs. Unless you have a Long-Term Care insurance policy, which will pay for needed home care services.
